Shadow of Tisare
Takhisis, also known as the Queen of Darkness, the Many-Headed Dragon, The Dragon of Many Colors and None, The Temptress, and the Dark Warrior, represents the godly force of control. She brings souls under her will and encourages them to grow according to her plans for conquest. She orders souls to surrender to dominance and give way to those who are stronger. She likewise orders souls to dominate others. She is the highest power among the Gods of Evil and believes that it is her right to one day dominate the entire world.
Takhisis is one of the first gods, called along with Paladine. She controls the chromatic dragons and uses them for her conquests, but legends always have her being beaten back by the forces of good, evidenced by tales like her defeat by Huma Dragonbane with his dragonlance. She is credited with launching the Ancient War of the Lance on Acusora but is defeated by the Heroes of the Lance in the end, due to the virtues of good, friendship, and sacrifices. Legends tell of her greatest scheme at the end of the Chaos War, to steal the world from the other gods, which ended in failure due to the unity of the gods of good and the infighting of the gods of evil. Her celestial symbol is the constellation Many-Headed Dragon.
Takhisis most often takes the form of a five-headed dragon, each head being the color of one of the evil dragons (red, blue, green, black, and white). She is also credited with twisting and corrupting Paladine's chosen race of elves with the creation of the Drow. Tales speak of the first King and Queen of Sembue being kidnapped and taken into the Abyss where they were tortured and twisted, turning their hearts from light, toward evil. It is said that they still remain as leaders of the dark elves in their deep underground cities. The drow were only rarely seen in the age of legend, only infrequently coming to the surface to raid, pillage, or harass their light-born cousins.
